11:30 AM Shotgun Start

Welcome to the 1st Annual Korean Open at Ballyowen.  We would like to thank all of today competitors and our sponsors, the Korean Central Daily News and Volvik for enabling us to present you this event.  We are proud to be hosting this first inaugural tournament and are excited to begin a great tradition!

To ensure a fair completion and pleasant experience, play pay special attention to the following rules:

USGA rules govern all play

Today’s Format is Individual Stroke Play.  We will award both Men’s and Women Champions.

You shall hand your scorecard to the person designated as your scorer.

Your scorer shall record your scores and then return your card to you at the end of the round

A stroke limit of 8 will be enforced.  Anyone who picks up after the 8th shot will be ineligible for the championship.

The card must be signed and attested by both players and turned into the scoring desk in the pro shop.

The player, himself or herself, is solely responsible for ensuring that the proper score is posted per hole and that the total score is accurately added.  Anyone signing an incorrect scorecard will be disqualified

Our player assistants will be located through the golf course and will help you locate golf balls and enforce a 4.5 hour pace of play.  Maintaining proper pace today is absolutely critical.  We want an 18-hole tournament played in daylight, so everyone’s cooperation is necessary.

Our player assistants are authorized to issue slow play warnings and will assess 1-stroke pace of play penalties upon a second warning.   Each player in the group/match is expected to play any stroke within 40 seconds after timing of the player's stroke begins. Other than on the putting green, the timing of a player's stroke will begin when he has had reasonable opportunity to reach his ball, it is his turn to play and he can play without interference or distraction.  Time spent determining yardage will count as part of the time taken for the next stroke.  Any player will refuses to adhere to our rules and pace of play enforcement will be disqualified.

Ties will be broken on a match of cards, starting with the #1 handicap hole.

Callaway Scoring will be used to determine Net Winners at the conclusion of the round

Men shall play from the Gold Tees.

Women shall play from the Red Tees

Please fix your ball makes and divots!   We take great pride in providing you this course.

If you have questions throughout the course of your round, please seek out one of our player assistants.
